Overview

As articulated swim flies became essential tools for serious bass anglers, it quickly became clear that existing rod designs were not keeping pace with the demands of this technique. Repurposed saltwater rods lacked the quick-loading response required for accurate casts into tight cover and the feedback needed to precisely animate multi-jointed flies on the retrieve. Developed in collaboration with G. Loomis Elite Ambassador and Product Advisor Mike Schultz, the NRX+ SWIM FLY was engineered specifically to meet those challenges. The result is a purpose-built action that loads quickly to drive accurate casts under obstacles while transmitting every twitch, bump, and slide directly to the fly for controlled, lifelike swimming motion. Built to Schultz’s exacting specifications, NRX+ SWIM FLY rods are ultra-versatile tools designed from the ground up to reduce variables, enhance precision, and maximize performance when presentation and control matter most.

DYNAMIC RECOVERY TECHNOLOGY

Dynamic Recovery Technology is a blended system of several elements. Our all-new Mega Modulus+ graphite matrix and GL8 resin system, combined with the industry’s most advanced compound taper construction process, creates crisp actions with smooth, rapid recovery. The key to achieving these performance characteristics is a reimaging of our proprietary Multi-Taper Design technology. Traditionally used to enhance durability and swing weight, the G. Loomis design team developed a method of applying a similar process to improve loading efficiency and feedback. This widens the power and recovery “sweet spot”, providing performance with feel regardless of casting distance.
