Poseidon 'Peute' Feathers

The Peute is a fly of French origin that has become extremely popular here in Belgium. This is partly due to Leon Jansen’s book 'Wondervliegen', but certainly also because it’s simply an incredibly effective pattern. Available in various sizes, it can imitate a wide range of insects, from small caddisflies to robust mayfly emergers. You can oil it and use it as a dry fly, wet it and use it as an emerger, as a wet fly, and even (with the addition of some lead wire weight or a gold bead) as a nymph. An essential fly to have in your collection. However, the special feathers needed for this aren’t always easy to find.
